Welcome

"Your Chance To Ride A Pedigree Rare Breed Horse"

Thank you for visiting racerare.eu

Ride a pedigree rare breed horse on quiet country lanes and off road tracks. Combine your stay with a visit to the Cadre Noir and the National Stud at Le Lion D’Angers.

Come and visit us in the beautiful countryside of Anjou, Pays de la Loire, with it’s rivers, water meadows and gently undulating countryside offering stunning views and ride one of our rare breed horses. A landscape reminiscent of John Betjeman’s Britain.

Please see our page on Tourism for other equestrian activities in the region.

This is a centre for riders so, regretfully, we do not take beginners,

Prices from €13 per hour.

Rare Breeds

We keep Cleveland Bays, a Category One Rare Breed of which there are less than 500 left in the world. Queen Elizabeth II is patron of our breed society and keeps Cleveland Bays at the Royal Mews where they are used for ceremonial duties in Central London.

Our Shagya Arabs were imported from the Foundation stud at Babolna in Hungary. Fewer than 50 Shagya Arabs are registered in France each year.

Our Cleveland's and Shagya all stand at between 15.2-15.3hh. We also have a pedigree Highland Pony14.2hh.

ABILITY

You must be able to do a rising trot and canter.(If you are a novice rider there are other establishments, in this area, which have horses which will meet your needs.)

HARD HATS ARE PROVIDED AND ARE OBLIGATORY AT RACE RARE.
